USCIS updates cases at random hours and the letter takes a week to arrive. We check your case every few hours and message you the moment it moves.

Permanent residents file Form I-90 to renew a 10-year card that is expiring or to replace one that was lost, stolen, damaged or has wrong information. If you have a two-year conditional card, you file an I-751 instead.
Most people file online, so the receipt number starts with IOE.
Your permanent resident status doesn't expire with the card. The I-90 receipt notice extends your card's validity while the case is pending; keep it with your card as proof for work and travel, and check the notice for how long the extension lasts.
Many I-90 applicants get a biometrics appointment; some have earlier biometrics reused. After approval, watch for 'New Card Is Being Produced' and then 'Card Was Mailed To Me', which usually includes a USPS tracking number.
If the card is returned as undeliverable, update your address with USCIS and contact them quickly.
Enter the receipt number from your I-90 receipt notice above. It usually starts with IOE. You'll see the current status, what it means and the history, and you can turn on alerts.

The receipt notice extending your card, together with the card, generally serves as proof of status. Check current USCIS guidance before international travel.
Use the USPS tracking number if your status shows one. If the card doesn't arrive or is returned, contact USCIS and make sure your address is up to date.
